A cut above
Wemyss Fabrics was originally established at a weaving mill in East Wemyss, Fife, Scotland. Wemyss is dedicated to producing high quality fabrics, beautifully styled and coloured. In a style referred to as Classic Chic. New owners have instated interior designer, Natasha Marshall, as their house designer to create a more modern and cutting edge look and feel whilst retaining the Wemyss classic identity and way of doing things that has maintained a steady income flow from their target audience of interior designers. Competition is fierce.
Whitespace’s brief was to re-position the brand as the design-led leader in Classic Chic fabrics and wallcoverings. To a target audience of interior designers and aesthetically appreciative individual buyers and independent interiors retailers.
The solution was to create a highly interactive room set based website that allows the shopper to mix and match fabrics in different rooms and under different lighting conditions to really appreciate the aesthetics of the products. The site is as innovative as it is stylish and strongly engages with the visitor.
