anCnoc Highland Single Malt – pronounced [a-nock]
Designed to reflect the contemporary packaging of this distinctive range of malts, we created a website that’s a bit single-minded in character too.
Featuring only a single page for the entire website, the clean and simple design means that all information and content can be reached by using a floating navigation system.
Of course, having all this information a single page would mean that page-load times would be prohibitive (and quite frankly annoying), but with the clever use of progressive loading using JavaScript, this is not a problem. This approach also incorporates a conventional URL structure into the site meaning it’s understandable to our good friend Google.
The website also features an ingenious ‘locate me’ button in the stockists directory that will attempt to automatically find stockist selling anCnoc near your location. A great piece of functionality if your accessing the website on a mobile device.
Since launch, the website has attracted positive comments from the whisky industry and whisky bloggers in particular, leading to additional traffic from unexpected sources. Sláinte mhath!
