Promoting the world’s largest festival . . . to the world
The impact Edinburgh Festivals have on Scotland is massive with the economic contribution estimated at £245m, of which £142m is generated from The Edinburgh Festival Fringe alone.
Working with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2009, we proudly support this international institution by developing a fresh creative approach annually in order to promote the event. Following the successes of 2010’s campaign, the Festival recorded record ticket sales and a resulting 4% increase in the number of performances booked for 2011.
Aware of the recent economic gloom and doom, our brief for 2011 was to make people feel good – resulting in The Fringe Squad. Literally a colourful team of characters at the heart of what the festival is about – a voyage of discovery and fun. And judging from the press coverage from the launch party, they appear to have done just that.
