about the charity
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation was set up in 1992 to support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. The Hospital receives over 100,000 children through its doors each year, from all over the East of Scotland. We give assistance in four prime areas.
- Provision of extra items and services to make a child's stay in hospital less distressing for both patients and their families
- improvements in child and family facilities
- the supply of extra medical equipment
- paediatric research and training.
