Talkspace 02

Talkspace 2

Following the success of the inaugural Talkspace 01 for Scotland’s design community, Whitespace is once again bringing together three of the country’s most exciting creatives for an informal evening of talks and discussion at our studio in 7/8 Randolph Place, Edinburgh, on Thursday 8 November from 7pm.

In association with Creative Edinburgh, it's a great opportunity to share ideas, catch up with old friends and make new ones. And drink some complimentary beer.

Our diverse line up promises a fascinating evening:

Tommy Perman
Tommy is an artist / designer / musician based in Edinburgh. Working in the fields of visual art, graphic design, performance, installation, sound and music, a great deal of his work concerns the boundaries between the fine arts, design and music and often combines traditional methods with new digital technologies. He's also a member of the BAFTA award winning artist collective / experimental pop band FOUND.

David Grinly
Stills Gallery curator David Grinly is an Edinburgh based photographic artist whose work explores mytho-poetic structures and their resonance in contemporary culture (really). He has exhibited across the UK from generator projects Dundee to the Royal Academy, London. He's an educator, curator and all-round-fun-guy as well as a commercial photographer and photo-journalist.

Euan Gray
Euan Gray is an architectural designer, and maker of things. He graduated from Dundee University in 2007 and attempted to become an architect in the normal way, but a recession put a stop to such plans. Not content with this, he started building things anyway - in gardens, theatres, at events and exhibitions. He now earns a living making small, medium and tiny buildings for people. www.euangray.co.uk
