Fringe win for Whitespace

Following a 2-phase competitive tender, Whitespace are proud to have been awarded the prestigious campaign to promote the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and features more performers (18,792) than there were athletes at the Beijing Olympics (10,500). 1.5 million tickets were sold in 2008, and the Fringe festival generates over £75 million for the Scottish economy annually.

The project includes creation of the overall concept and the application across various on and offline material, working closely with the in-house team at the Fringe office.

Creative Director, Iain Valentine said “I entered the Fringe poster competition every year when I was at school and never won, so now in a strange way I feel those hours spent were not wasted. We look forward to helping develop a memorable Fringe for the right reasons”.
